On Monday, the Joint National Transport Safety Committee of Nigeria (JNTSCN), in collaboration with the Delta State Directorate of Transport, participated in a life-saving public safety initiative across Delta State.
As part of this collaborative effort, safety life jackets supplied by the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy were distributed to boat operators to promote safe water transportation and reduce the risk of accidents on the waterways.
This initiative demonstrates the shared commitment of the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, the Delta State Directorate of Transport, and JNTSCN to improving water transport safety, protecting lives, and creating greater awareness of the importance of wearing life jackets while operating or traveling in boats.
